BOÉLL

Privacy Policy

As of October 2026

Your data is handled with the same care as every print: only what is needed, only for as long as it is needed.

1. Controller

Marcus Bode, trading as BOÉLL
Raschdorffstr. 10, 13409 Berlin, Germany
Email: kontakt@boellshop.com · Phone: +34 614 383 168

We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German data protection laws. Below you will find which data we process, for what purpose and on which legal basis.

2. Hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically records technical information in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect misuse (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – legitimate interest in a secure and stable website). Log files are deleted after a short period, usually within 14 days. We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS.

Some program libraries are loaded via the content delivery network jsDelivr; your browser connects to its servers, which transmits your IP address (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR – fast and reliable delivery of the website).

3. Cookies and consent

We use technically necessary cookies and comparable technologies, for example to keep your shopping cart and to process your order (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR and § 25 (2) TDDDG). Your favourites list is stored only locally in your browser.

All other services – in particular analytics and marketing – are only used if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG). We manage your consent with the consent tool Real Cookie Banner (devowl.io GmbH, Germany), which stores your decision in a cookie. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the privacy settings button on the website; the withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

4. Orders and customer account

When you place an order, we process the data you provide – name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number if provided, the products ordered and payment information – to fulfil the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Creating a customer account is optional; if you create one, we store your data until you delete the account.

Your products are made to order by our production and shipping partner Printful (Printful Latvia AS, Ojāra Vācieša iela 6B, Riga, LV-1004, Latvia, and its group companies, including Printful Inc., USA). We pass on the data required for production and delivery – name, delivery address, email address if needed for shipping notifications, and the products ordered. Depending on the production facility, your parcel is shipped by an external carrier, to whom Printful passes your delivery address.

To calculate VAT correctly, the delivery address and order total are processed by Stripe Tax (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland).

Order data is stored for as long as required by tax and commercial law (generally up to 10 years, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with § 147 AO and § 257 HGB).

5. Payment providers

Stripe: Card payments and wallet payments such as Apple Pay or Google Pay are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. Stripe receives the payment data required for the transaction and may also process it for fraud prevention.

PayPal: If you pay with PayPal, you are forwarded to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg. PayPal receives the payment data required for the transaction.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. The payment providers are independently responsible for the data processed by them; their own privacy policies apply.

6. Contact form, email and WhatsApp

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process your name, email address and message in order to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for questions about a purchase, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Emails from our website are sent via a mail server. We delete your request once it has been fully answered, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Our website contains a link to WhatsApp. Data is only transmitted to WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., Dublin, Ireland) if you click the link and start a chat; WhatsApp’s privacy policy then applies.

7. Analytics and marketing (only with your consent)

Google Analytics: With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, integrated via the plugin PixelYourSite, to understand how our website is used. IP addresses are shortened by Google within the EU before they are stored.

Google Merchant Center: Our products are listed on Google via Google for WooCommerce. With your consent, conversion data may be transmitted to Google to measure the success of these listings.

Meta Pixel: With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, to measure the effectiveness of our presence on Facebook and Instagram.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google and Meta are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR).

8. “View on your wall”

If you use our “View on your wall” tool and choose a photo of your room, the photo is processed only in your own browser. It is not uploaded to our server and is not stored.

9. Links to social media

Our website links to our profiles on Instagram and YouTube. These are simple links – no data is transmitted to these platforms until you click on them.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). Simply send an email to kontakt@boellshop.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

The provision of your data is required for concluding and fulfilling a purchase contract; without it, we cannot process your order. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
