Clear terms for every print and every shirt – so you know exactly what to expect when you order from BOÉLL.

1. Scope

(1) These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts concluded via the online shop boellshop.com between you and

(2) Our offer is directed at consumers. A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession (§ 13 BGB). The version of these Terms valid at the time of your order applies.

2. Your order and conclusion of the contract

(1) The presentation of products in our shop is not a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order.

(2) You can place an order as follows:

  1. Choose a product, its size and, where applicable, its version, and click “Add to cart”.
  2. Open the cart and click “Proceed to checkout”.
  3. Enter your billing and delivery details and choose a payment method. Creating a customer account is not required.
  4. Check all details in the order overview. Until this point you can correct any input errors at any time, or cancel the order by closing your browser.
  5. By clicking the “Buy now” button, you submit a binding offer to purchase the products in your cart.

(3) We will confirm receipt of your order immediately by email. This order confirmation constitutes our acceptance of your offer; the contract is concluded upon its receipt.

(4) The contract language is English. We store the text of the contract and send you the order details together with these Terms by email. If you have created a customer account, you can also view your past orders under “My account”. These Terms are available at any time on this page.

3. Prices and shipping

(1) All prices are final prices. As a small business within the meaning of § 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), we do not charge value added tax (VAT); therefore no VAT is shown.

(2) Shipping is free of charge to all countries in Europe, the USA and Canada. For deliveries to all other countries we charge an international shipping fee, which depends on the products ordered and is shown in the cart and at checkout before you place your order (see our FAQ). The available countries are shown at checkout. For deliveries to countries outside the European Union, the authorities of the destination country may charge import duties, taxes or customs fees; these are not included in our prices and are payable by you.

4. Payment

(1) You can pay by credit or debit card and with further payment methods offered via our payment provider Stripe (for example Apple Pay or Google Pay, depending on your device), as well as with PayPal. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout.

(2) The purchase price is due upon conclusion of the contract and is charged when you place your order.

5. Production and delivery

(1) Every print and every shirt is produced individually for you after your order by our production partners. Production usually takes 2–7 working days, followed by shipping, which usually takes 3–8 working days within Europe; deliveries to other countries may take longer. Where a product page states a different time, that statement applies.

(2) We deliver to the delivery address you provide. If you provide an incorrect or insufficient address, or a shipment is not collected, the parcel will be returned to the production facility; in this case the costs of shipping it again are borne by you.

(3) Sizes that are not offered in the shop can be ordered on request. Such custom orders are agreed individually by email.

(4) The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the following right of withdrawal:

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods. If you ordered several goods in one order and they are delivered separately, the period begins on the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the last good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us – Marcus Bode, trading as BOÉLL, Raschdorffstr. 10, 13409 Berlin, Germany, phone +34 614 383 168, email kontakt@boellshop.com – of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. You can also declare your withdrawal online using our withdrawal function “Withdraw from contract here”, which is available at the bottom of every page of our website; we will then send you a confirmation of receipt by email without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. As our products are made by production partners in several countries, please send the goods to the return address we give you after receiving your withdrawal; otherwise to us at the address above. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods. For Graphic Art canvases in the sizes 24×48″, 26×40″, 28×40″, 30×40″, 32×48″, 36×36″ and 37×37″, these costs are estimated at a maximum of approximately EUR 53; for Graphic Art canvases in the sizes 20×60″, 30×60″, 40×55″ and 40×60″, at a maximum of approximately EUR 155.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

End of withdrawal policy

Our return shipping promise

Voluntarily and in addition to the statutory provisions, we reimburse the direct costs of returning the goods up to EUR 11 per return shipment on presentation of the postage receipt – for all products except the large-format Graphic Art canvases listed above. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive, or that are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer (§ 312g (2) no. 1 BGB). This applies in particular to sizes or designs that are not offered in the shop and are produced on your individual request.

8. Warranty and damaged goods

(1) The statutory warranty rights apply.

(2) If a product arrives damaged, misprinted or defective, please let us know with a photo – ideally within 30 days of delivery – so that we can arrange a replacement or refund quickly with our production partner. This request does not limit your statutory rights in any way.

All motifs are original works by Marcus Boéll and are protected by copyright. Purchasing a product does not transfer any rights of use to the motif; in particular, reproducing the motif is not permitted.

10. Applicable law and dispute resolution

(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence.

(2) We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
